Lotion & Cream Bottles
PET, PP and airless bottles matched to lotion pumps and caps.

Engineered for your formula, finished for your brand
Lotion and cream bottles need a clean, repeatable dose. We pair PET, PP and airless bodies with lotion pumps and disc caps that keep dispensing smoothly, from lightweight daily lotions to rich body butters.

Matching pump output to how thick the product is
Lotion and cream packaging is mostly a closure problem. The product is too thick to pour and too valuable to waste, so the pump has to deliver a controlled dose without sputtering, dribbling or leaving a third of the product stuck to the walls. Output is specified in volume per stroke and it has to be matched to the actual viscosity — not to the viscosity you intend, but to the one the product has on a cold morning.
That is why we ask for the formula before quoting. A pump that works beautifully on a light lotion will starve on a body butter, and the difference only shows up when you test with the real product. Sampling with your actual formulation is the single most useful thing you can do at this stage.
Airless bottles are worth considering for anything with sensitive actives. Because the product is pushed by a piston rather than drawn through a dip tube, it sees far less air over the life of the bottle, which matters for formulations where oxidation is the limiting factor.
Material, clarity and how the product reads
PET is the default for a lotion bottle that needs to show the product; PETG is the step up when the wall is thick or the formula is more aggressive. Both give a clean, premium presentation and both take decoration well. Where the formula includes strong actives, high alcohol or anything solvent-heavy, polyethylene is the safer material even though it gives up the clarity.
Wall thickness affects more than strength here. A thicker wall reads as more expensive in the hand and gives a broader, flatter surface for hot stamping or a wrap label — which is why premium lotion lines often specify a heavy wall for reasons that are as much tactile as functional.
Sizes typically run 30–500 ml, and the most common mistake in this category is underestimating how differently a 30 ml serum pump and a 400 ml lotion pump need to be specified. Same product family, completely different closure engineering.
Decoration, minimums and getting a first sample
Decoration runs in-house: silk screen for crisp logos, hot stamping for metallics, spray coating for frosted or gradient finishes and labelling for complex artwork. On a lotion bottle the frosted or soft-touch coating is often what separates a premium presentation from a generic one, and it costs far less than a custom mould.
Minimums are 5,000 pcs for white, black and natural pumps and closures and 10,000 pcs for custom colours. With more than 2,000 moulds in the library most programmes start on a stock bottle with no tooling charge, and samples are typically ready in 3–10 days.
To quote accurately we need bottle size, material, neck finish and viscosity. Everything else — colour, collar style, dip-tube length, output — can be settled during sampling. Send those four things and the first quote will be the real one.
Common questions about lotion & cream bottles
Which pump suits thick formulas?+
For high-viscosity creams we recommend airless or high-output lotion pumps, which we cycle-test with your actual formula viscosity.
Can I get airless bottles?+
Yes — airless bodies in PET/PP prevent air backflow and protect sensitive actives like vitamin C and retinol.
Which pump should I use for a thick cream?+
A pump with a larger output chamber and a wider orifice, specified against the measured viscosity rather than a description. Thick creams starve standard lotion pumps, which shows up as sputtering and a partial dose, and the usual mistake is to blame the pump rather than the mismatch. Send us the product and we will sample two or three output specifications and tell you which one delivers a clean dose — that is a week of testing that prevents a very expensive complaint.
Is an airless bottle worth the extra cost?+
It depends entirely on the formula. Airless packaging reduces air exposure over the life of the product, which matters a great deal for formulations with oxidation-sensitive actives and very little for a straightforward body lotion. It also dispenses more completely, so less product is left in the bottle. If your active is the reason the product works, airless usually pays for itself in perceived efficacy; if it is a simple emulsion, a standard pump is the better economics.
Can I get a frosted or soft-touch finish?+
Yes — both are done in-house. Frosting is a spray coating that gives a matte, premium surface and works particularly well on PET, and a soft-touch coating adds a tactile quality that reads as expensive in the hand. Both are far cheaper than a custom mould and both are a legitimate way to differentiate a stock bottle. We would usually suggest trying these before committing to a private tool, because they deliver most of the visual differentiation at a fraction of the cost and lead time.
